Underwood Hills Park

Underwood Hills Park is a City of Atlanta park and a beloved part of the Underwood Hills neighborhood. The park includes a playground and workout equipment for all ages, a covered picnic area, tennis courts, basketball court, ball field and a meandering, paved path that takes you through Certified Wildlife Habitat, Audubon Nature Preserve and over a small creek.

General maintenance is provided by Department of Parks and Recreation. The Neighborhood invests time and money ensuring the park is the gem of our neighborhood and an amenity for everyone to enjoy it. Regular community volunteer and Quarterly Forest Restoration events are held in partnership with Trees Atlanta who have helped plant hundreds of trees in recent years.
Georgia Adopt a Stream helps local volunteers monitor water quality.
Park Pride is the non-profit arm of the City of Atlanta Parks that works with all communities in Atlanta to improve their parks through programs, funding and leadership to create more and better green spaces.
The picnic area and ball fields are available on a first come, first served basis. Depending upon the size of your event, an event permit  from the Mayor’s Office of Special Events may be required. For questions or inquiries about how to support the Park monitor our calendar of events or contact UHNA.

The UHNA Teen Committee is a great way for teens to get involved and help give back with special projects and record Community Service Hours. From fundraising through city contributions, grants and private donations, they have helped install new workout equipment, swings and other amenities. For more details, email the teen committee.

The Friends of Underwood Hills Park Committee is an organization that partners with Park Pride to steward fundraising efforts on larger scale fiscal grant efforts, and partners with Park Pride, City of Atlanta Parks Department, City Council members along with community organizations and individuals.
In 2020, they were awarded the Park Pride Legacy Grant for $80,000, funded by the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation. To read the
