In the last 2-week period (July 25- August 6), 35 incidents were reported in Beat 204. Of those, one occurred in the area we patrol.
On July 26, 2026, a resident on the 1700 block of Defoor Avenue heard gunfire at about 2:00 AM. Officers responded but were unable to locate any evidence. A resident discovered a cartridge case later in the day. Police responded back to the location and recovered the evidence.
There are no suspects at this time. The incident is under investigation by the General Crimes Unit.

- On July 31, 2026, officers responded to the apartment complex at 2100 Defoors Ferry Rd in reference to a domestic assault. A man attacked a woman with vape and stabbed himself in the head with a wine glass.
