The portion of Defoor you have seen plus Bellemeade have been on the city’s list to be resurfaced for years, and we have been eagerly awaiting the city finally getting around to them! Councilmember Dustin Hillis was instrumental in getting them added to the list and has been consistently following up to make sure the project is delivered. In my most recent conversation with the project manager at the city, he confirmed that the contractor poured new asphalt for Defoor and will be tackling Bellemeade starting next week. They hope to put in temporary striping before the end of the year. Then in January once the new asphalt has cured, they’ll be back out to install the permanent striping.
