They were scheduled for the Nov. 13 BZA hearing but withdrew. There is a Dec. 4 BZA hearing but V-25-199 is not shown to be on that agenda. - [Crime & Time (Nov 15 - 28)](https://underwoodhills.org/crime-time-nov-15-28/): I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving week.  As discussed, we have worked shifts from Thanksgiving evening through this weekend for additional holiday coverage. In the last 2-week period, 26 incidents were reported in Beat 204. Of those, one occurred in the area we patrol. Sometime between November 28, 2025, at 9:00 PM and November 29, 2025, at 4:45 AM, a vehicle parked on Woodland Hills Drive was entered.  Golf clubs, a range finder, and some electronic items were stolen.  I reached out to the reporting person and am waiting to hear back.  The incident is under investigation by the APD Larceny […]

While the deadline to register to vote in the runoff has passed, you do not need to have voted in the general election to participate in the runoff. If you’re registered, you can vote. - [UWCID Releases 30% Plan for Collier Rd Corridor](https://underwoodhills.org/uwcid-releases-30-plan-for-collier-rd-corridor/): For over a year consultants engaged by UWCID have consulted with community representatives on plans to improve Collier Road from Chattahoochee Ave to Northside Drive. Many of you participated in community consults, pop-ups, map marking and idea sharing to produce two alternative 10% proposals.Feedback from these have been condensed to a 30% development plan which was released at the final meeting Monday Nov 17. - [Shots Fired on Defoor](https://underwoodhills.org/shots-fired-on-defoor/): Shots Fired on Defoor On Friday, November 14, 2025, at 3:10 AM, two 911 calls were received for “shots fired”.  One was reported in the area of Collier Rd @ Defoor Ave.  The other was from Defoors Walk NW.  Both callers reported hearing 3 gunshots.  Multiple officers responded to and canvassed the area but were unable to locate any suspects, victims, or property damage. The next morning, a resident on Harper Street woke up to find glass on her kitchen counter.  She realized a bullet passed through the rear of her house and into a kitchen cabinet where it seemed to […]

- [Crime & Time (Oct 18 - 31)](https://underwoodhills.org/crime-time-oct-18-31/): In the last 2-week period (Oct 18 – 31), 30 incidents were reported in Beat 204.  Of those, one occurred in the area we patrol.  On October 25, 2025, the driver of a 2017 BMW X3 crashed into a vehicle parked on Woodland Hills Avenue and destroyed a mailbox.  The driver fled the scene leaving the disabled vehicle behind. See pics attached.  The installers confirmed that they will put in the new pieces on Monday, time to be determined. I asked them to let me know when they find out what time because many of the little children want to watch the playground come to life again. I’m so happy that this is finally occurring! - [Feb 2024](https://underwoodhills.org/feb-2024/): Family Fire Drills 2/26/2024     ​Three of our Underwood Hills families practiced their home fire drills this past Sunday with the help of the firefighters from Station 23.  They prepared their exit strategies in case of fire and refined them with suggestions from the experts.  It was a great learning experience! Thanks to our wonderful firefighters!!!! Paid members of the Security Patrol are provided the phone number that can be used to report suspicious activity or request other assistance. The security officer will drive a marked personal vehicle and will be armed and can make arrests.
